Allianz Microinsurance - Learning to insure the poor

Project Context

For five years, Allianz has developed and implemented insurance products for low-income consumers. The credit-life model has proven successful in Indonesia, is growing fast in India, and is now replicated in a number of African countries. Property and health insurance products have been added to the portfolio in India. These first years of experimentation have led to a wealth of insights on how to design, deliver and scale sustainable micro-insurance products.
