Context and Objective

Experience how people at the lowest income markets live and explore the potentials for doing business. Our partner, the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) is organising a study trip to Johannesburg. South Africa makes up one of the biggest markets among poor consumers, also known as Base of the Pyramid (BOP). The purpose of the trip is to provide European companies with a unique opportunity to gain insight in living conditions and business opportunities in a typical BOP market.

Programme

This study trip to BOP in South Africa will bring the participants through the whole supply chain from the company and all the way to the poor consumers in the townships. The dialogue will convene experts from business, development organizations, public policy, and academia.
