Energize the BoP! - Energy Business Models for Low-Income Markets

1.6 billion people still lack access to electricity, above all in Asia and Africa. The market for energy efficient products is even bigger. European companies are leading providers of technologies that can improve the quality of life for billions of people at the base of the global income pyramid (BoP) and boost productivity. What is missing are business models that can deliver these products and services profitably. With this workshop, companies will learn to develop sustainable business models that can strengthen their CSR engagement and build future growth markets. The participants of the workshop will use the tool ‚Inclusive Energy Business Model Generator’ to learn about business model options and to develop their own business model, based on existing business ideas.
