Activities for Knowledge Exchange

Emergia Institute organizes events to exchange and build knowledge regarding business solutions to development challenges. In particular, we work with the following formats:

  • Executive education with small selected groups of representatives from the private, public and civil sectors. Topics include ‘Introduction to the base of the pyramid approach’
  • Study trips for companies into the slums and rural villages of the developing world. These are designed to stimulate the discovery of new business opportunities and to create first contacts to potential implementation partners.
  • Expert dialogues for practitioners and academics. Experts discuss topical questions, arrive at a common understanding and create new ideas.

In order to create an atmosphere of effective learning, most of our events are by invitation only (unless otherwise noted).

Emergia experts also contribute to many events of other organizations.
