My expertise lies in environmentally sustainable strategies for corporate companies, with a particular interest in emerging markets strategies. I have also worked for many years on locally-driven development initiatives such as private sector development projects.
At Emergia Institute I am responsible for finance and business development in Asia.

Previous Experience
- In February 2010 I became Juniorprofessorin at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and holder of the Dr. Werner Jäckstädt Endowed Chair of Chinese Business Studies. I teach and reseach on the topics of entrepreneurship in China, economic development, and local government practices in climate change.
- I have lived and worked in some of the more remote and underdeveloped regions in China, conducting first-hand research on how businesses can thrive in infrastructure-weak markets.
- As a management consultant at McKinsey, I focused on the high-tech, telecommunications,and consumer goods industry, as well as the public sector. I analysed, among other projects, pension and health care reforms for a German political organization, developed tools to assess the optimal product mix, and recommended new product promotion strategies for consumer packaged goods companies.
